Fujica were one of the manufacturers who tried to promote a Single 8 format to rival and actually pre date Kodak’s Super 8. Promoted with the benefit of cassette loading, and manufactured on a plastic rather than cellulose backing, the film was thiner therefore fitted into a smaller cassette and that into a smaller camera.
