Jacques Bolsey had already establised a reputation in the movie camera world, designing amongst others the Bolex 16mm camera. Moving to the States in 1947 Bolsey set up the Bolsey company and designed this 8mm subminiture, it’s an exercise in clockwork miniaturisation, but was too expensive to produce and sell commercially, it wasn’t a success and seems most were brought by the seceret service.
This example sounds a bit rought and becouse it takes a special 8mm cassette of film I’ve not used it, but it is still a loveley device to look at.
